About Me

Graphic Design is the key to communication in the modern world.
I love graphic design, self starting and devoted my day is not complete without a daily dose of visual communication. It truly is my self confessed obsession. I have realised that I can use design not only to reach into myself and express my own feelings but also to reach out to others. My designs speak louder than words, they convey a message beyond the ordinary. My versatile approach is both thought provoking and memorable. I am a highly motivated and confident person with a positive attitude. This has helped towards my other interest such as hockey, i enjoyed being the captain of my team since year 9 at high school it allowed me to build up a strong friendship with several people. Studying graphic design at university will help develop my skills and enhance my creative ability whilst enabling me to evaluate  the usefulness and beauty of design. I am excited by the prospect of studying graphic design at university level. My long term aim is a career as a graphic designer I feel a degree is the next step in my pursuit of this goal.

My Work

For my fashion brief I had to produce a front cover for a magazine. I used photography to capture my dramatic front cover image. My model used a strong facial expression and body language to make the link between the picture and the title "BLAH." I choose that title because I felt it was relevant to what is inside my magazine. Storys on fashion, stars and partys. I personally love the way the front cover shows a very urban message and shows my personalty through it.
For my poster to promote Trafford college art department we were given a list of words to choose from which we had to try and explain to meaning of the word through photography. I choose the word diverse, I used four different looking models against a simple brick background. This made the attention just be on the key models holding the sign. I feel this really shows off the meaning behind the word well.

For this product we were able to take the brief and make it our own. i came up with my own brand and design. I choose to base my shoes around punk and rock and roll. The brand name is anarchy stands out from others as it has a strong meaning behind it.  It means stand up for what you believe in and dont back down. I made the design look ripped with the UK flag because punk mainly started in britain. To get the final product I looked into converse design and practiced my drawing skills by producing paintings and sketches of shoes. Overall I am very happy with my final product I can not wait to wear them myself.
For this project we were asked to produce both a factual and photography based anti fur posters. For my factual poster I decided to use a quote from a celebrity that will make people listen and copy what they say. For my photography work I tried to make it a more hard hitting image which makes people think hard about the message behind it. I really like my photography work as it shows my skills to the best of my ability.

I had to produce a poster for a existing brand of clothing. I choose to base my advert around the brand PULP, a brand of clothing that I love to wear. It is a very strong and unique brand making it stand out from others. I decided to used outside photography to produce my poster design. I edited the picture by brightening the colours to make to picture bright and link it to the logo of the brand.

For this I had tro produce a 3D typography piece. I decided to use this piece of work to show of my versatility in design. I used different materials that I havent worked with before which I felt very comfortable using. I very much enjoyed doing this project as I feel this is my best area of work.

I feel that this project was my best so far. I really enjoyed designing an advert for an existing product. We were told to introduce doodle into our design. I choose to design my own mask which i feel makes my advert stand out from others. I used a very catchy slogan which I feel links well with my produce and design of advert. I very much enjoyed using my studio time to the best of my ability and producing a range of different pictures until I found my final one. Overall i really enjoyed this project.
